Energoproekt's Experience in Intrnational Projects in Bulgaria

ENERGOPROEKT has participated in the execution of dozens of projects in Bulgaria, together with foreign companies as a subcontractor or contractor. These are projects, funded by foreign institutions under different programs or by foreign companies. The most important projects are:

  • Rehabilitation project of power engineering field in Bulgaria, together with Bechtel – USA and ТОТЕМА – Bulgaria (funded under USAID);
  • Evaluation of the status and rehabilitation projects for 15 thermal power plants for heating installations and industrial purposes, together with PowerGen – UK (funded under PHARE Program);
  • Toplofikatzia Sofia and Toplofikatzia Rousse – Replacement of boiler burners 220 t/h – design, supply, supervision and putting into operation, together with SAACKE GmbH, Germany;
  • Desulphurization installations for lignite coal burning boilers. Their usage in Bulgarian conditions – Pre-design study, elaborated together with FlaktAB, Sweden;
  • Desulphurization installations for 210 MW Units – Pre-design study, elaborated together with PAX Technology Transfer Ltd., Great Britain;
  • Toplofikatzia Rousse and TPP Maritza – 3 – Gas distribution station – design, supply, supervision and putting into operation, together with Rombach GmbH, Germany;
  • TPP of HIMKO, Vratsa – Automatic control system for Boilers No. No. 1-3 – design, supply, supervision and putting into operation, together with Honeywell Europe SA, Belgium;
  • TPP Deven, Vratsa – Automatic control system of Boiler No. 6 – design, supply, supervision and putting into operation, together with Honeywell Austria GmbH, Austria;
  • Energija І. Energy project for burning of lignite coal in Bulgaria – Contract for finishing of Unit No. 8, 215 MW in TPP Maritza Iztok – 2 – design and author supervision, together with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
  • TPP Plama – Pleven – Automatic control system of Boiler No. 2 – design, supply, supervision and putting into operation, together with Honeywell Austria GmbH, Austria;
  • Collaboration in the field of TPPs, water-preparing installations, technology transfer, design and supply with ROHM & HAAS France S.A., France;
  • Scientific and technical co-operation in the field of coal-feeding in TPPs and other consumers in Bulgaria and abroad with TAKRAF Aniagenbau GmbH, Germany;
  • TPP to HIMKO, Vratsa – High-technology installation for chemical cleaning of the water with capacity of 400 m3/h – design, supply and supervision, together with RAUMA – Ecoplaning - OY, Finland;
  • Evaluation of the possibilities for usage of natural gas in households in Bulgaria, together with HASKONING – The Netherlands (funded under PHARE Program);
  • Economy of energy and energy efficiency, together with KANTOR – Greece (funded under PHARE Program);
  • Project for reorganization and politics in the power engineering branch. Strategy for energy efficiency, together with NERA – UK (funded under PHARE Program);
  • Investigation of long-term marginal expenses in the power engineering branch, together with PowerGen – UK (funded under PHARE Program);
  • Quantitative energy scenarios for Bulgaria, together with the Institute for Nuclear Research and Nuclear Energy of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS), as the main contractor was ENERGOPROEKT (funded under PHARE Program);
  • Project for convergence of the national politics in the power engineering branch of the countries in the region, in consortium led by ECN – Netherlands Energy Research Foundation – The Netherlands (funded under PHARE Program);
